How to know if a software is compatible with windows 7

Windows-XP-in-Windows-7-

Most of the apps that works on winxp is compatible with windows 7.For apps that are not working with win 7 can be installed in compatibility mode,simply right click on the setup file you want to install and take option troubleshoot  compatibility.

 

 

 

It will automatically select the profile compatible for the file to install.Or you can manually set compatibility mode by selecting properties of setup file and take compatibility tab,make changes and apply.Sometimes you need to tick the run as administrator option from the compatibility tab.If it doesn't work try to find alternative for that software,if there is none try "XP Mode" in win 7. XP Mode can be downloaded from the link below.

       If the program is so old,like(Turbo C doesn't works with win 7 64bit,works with 32 bit) try "DOS box" software.
